A LITTLE ABOUT ME

My professional career in Web & Graphic Design started in 1999, and it has been a very positive & challenging aspect of my life. My experience in design expands and grows daily as I dutifully keep up with today’s technologies and trends within the design field. I am an ambitious, patient, and detail-oriented designer, with a great sense of humor, positive attitude towards life, and a willingness to grow and share with others what I learn.

Graphic Designer / Web Developer: The IT Division of NATEK creates, supports, and maintains a number of web-based and standalone applications for government clients. My role, as the designer, is to support any graphic needs ranging from web site design, development to presentational designs and original illustrations for training materials. In addition, I am an active lead member of the CMMI Process Integration Group. The responsibilities include initiating web based meetings, coordinating tasks with members, and creating standards for the graphics and styles used in the document templates.

THE KASEMAN COMPANIES (Contractor at The State Department)
09/2003-06/2007

Graphic Designer / Web Content Administrator: As a Contractor at The State Department, I worked in the Diplomatic Security Bureau designing web interfaces for different applications and web sites, provided images for use in multimedia projects, and managed the content of the Diplomatic Security intranet. In addition, I provided web administrative and training support to the Content Managers within the bureau.

Graphic Designer: Working in a very fast paced environment, I handled the design, creation, and formatting of graphics and multimedia for a local television news station which broadcasted throughout the DC Metro area. I was responsible for creating topic focused graphics within a limited timeframe for each news cast, and worked closely with producers, anchors, and team leads on the design of graphic elements for the daily and weekly broadcasts. I insured that television graphics adhered to strict design limitations for optimal viewing on broadcast television. In addition to my daily responsibilities, I designed graphics for the Marketing Department and multimedia team to use in commercial animations and provided voice-overs for numerous radio and television commercials.

08/2000-07/2001

Lead Graphic Designer: Designed and managed corporate branding, marketing material, and website design for GeoUtilities, whose main product was an online utility comparison website, called PlanetServices.com. I conceptualized and designed the identity for the PlanetServices.com website, letterhead, envelopes, and marketing material to establish brand identity to clients, and consumers. To promote the product, I produced marketing material such as pamphlets, flyers, postcards, and animated advertisement banners. I also was responsible for the design of the Company’s exterior office building signage which required constant communication with an outside vendor in order to complete the project on time.

ANTEON Corporation
12/1999-08/2000

Senior Illustrator: As the Senior Illustrator at this Government contracting company, I designed posters, brochures, logos, and 3D animations for different departments of the United States Navy. I successfully designed the marketing poster for the Department of Navy’s Submarine Centennial event in which over 5,000 posters were produced and distributed. I worked closely with clients to develop a presentational animation with 3D animated renders for use on video.

BOOZ-ALLEN & HAMILTON (Internship)
05/1999-12/1999

Desktop Publisher & Web Design: An internship as a desktop publisher exposed me to not only to real world design experience, but also experience working on government related projects, and in secure environments. As the desktop publisher, I updated and edited several multi-lingual training manual packages using QuarkXpress. I learned quickly how important it was to interact with other team members and translators to verify the translations, and to meet our deadlines.

GEOERGE MASON UNIVERSITY SERVICES (Internship)
04/1998-09/1998

Graphic / Web Designer: As the sole designer during the internship, I designed the Audio/Visual Services department intranet website providing George Mason students accessibility to policies and forms for renting equipment. For the University’s Electronic Classrooms department, I designed their logo which was used as a desktop for each electronic classroom at the time. At the end of my internship, I presented my representative with a cd containing a multimedia flash presentation, journaling my experience of the internship.

NEWSCHANNEL 8
Designer and Animator: Conceptualized a storyboard for a 5-10 second opening credit. Created original illustrations and recreated certain elements from the original logo in Adobe Illustrator CS2 to be used in the animation, and Animated the sequence using Adobe Flash CS2.

SCOOPCHICKS
Designer: Redesign of original logo and enhanced product photographs for online store.

USE ENVIRO FUELS
Multimedia Designer: Conceptualized and designed animated banner using Macromedia Flash, to reflect the important values of the company and their product.

AN ALLURE EVENT
Event Coordinator Assistant: Assisted owner with setting up for social events from birthday parties to weddings. Lead Coordinator at multiple events, ensuring set up was complete, vendors arrived on time, and schedule of events were followed. Provided photography of events for clients and use on company website. Created print and product materials for use at events.

TRANCENTRIX
Graphic Designer: Collaborated with marketing team lead to design a marketing package, consisting of several pages of material. The design included call-out boxes and highlighting important points within the material to draw the attention from potential clientele. Redesigned company business card. Made adjustments to the existing graphics, and presented final to the clients.

Graphic Designer: Conceptualized and designed logo and ‘Identity Package’ for IntelliDyne L.L.C.
Provided web and graphic design for government contracting client’s intranet website. Designed full-color pocketed folder for presenting material to potential clients and new hires
